Accessibility Statement

Our Approach to Accessibility

Casana Interiors is committed to making our website accessible and inclusive for as many people as possible, regardless of technology, ability or circumstances. We are working towards aligning our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA over time, where it is reasonably practicable for a business of our size.
In practice, this means we aim for the site to be:

Perceivable – content presented in ways users can perceive

Operable – navigation and controls usable via different input methods (for example keyboard only)

Understandable – clear, consistent and predictable

Robust – compatible with a range of browsers, devices and assistive technologies

Accessibility is an ongoing process. As we add new pages and features, we try to design and build them with accessibility in mind.

What We Are Doing

We are working to improve accessibility across the site by:

  • Using clear, descriptive headings and a logical page structure
  • Writing in plain English where possible
  • Providing meaningful link text rather than “click here”
  • Aiming for sufficient colour contrast between text and background
  • Supporting keyboard navigation for key actions such as browsing, adding to basket and checkout
  • Providing alternative text for meaningful images and icons
  • Avoiding relying on colour alone to convey important information

We also review new designs and templates with accessibility in mind before they go live.

Where There May Still Be Issues

Some areas of our website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. This may include older images without complete alternative text, headings or labels that need refinement, or components provided by third-party services that we cannot fully control, such as maps, reviews, payment systems or embedded tools.
Where we use third-party services, we do not control their code. However, we try to:

  • Choose reputable providers
  • Configure their tools in the most accessible way available
  • Raise issues with them where we identify specific barriers

We will continue to review and improve these areas over time as we update the site and our integrations.

If You Need Help or an Alternative Format

If you have difficulty using any part of our website or need information in a different format, such as larger text, a plain-text email or a PDF, please contact us.

Email: contact@casanainteriors.co.uk

Subject line: “Accessibility request”

If possible, include the page you were using, what you were trying to do, and any assistive technology, browser or device involved. We aim to respond within one to two working days and will let you know if more time is needed. We will do our best to provide a suitable alternative or reasonable adjustment.

Feedback and Reporting Accessibility Problems

If you encounter an accessibility problem on our site, we would be grateful if you could tell us.

Please email: contact@casanainteriors.co.uk with the subject line “Accessibility feedback”

We use this feedback to prioritise fixes and improvements, especially where it affects key journeys such as browsing products, adding items to basket and completing checkout.

Enforcement and Your Rights

Casana Interiors is a private company, but we aim to follow the principles of the Equality Act 2010, which requires reasonable adjustments so disabled people are not put at a substantial disadvantage when accessing services.

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may wish to seek further advice. For example, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), who provide information and guidance on equality and human rights issues.

Review of This Statement

We update it periodically, particularly when significant website changes are made, new features or third-party tools are introduced, or accessibility standards are updated. You may wish to check this page from time to time to see how we are progressing.
If you experience any difficulty using our website or need information in a different format, we want to hear from you so we can help and continue to improve.
Casana Interiors is committed to making our website accessible and inclusive for as many people as possible, regardless of technology, ability or circumstances. Accessibility is an ongoing process and we continue to develop the site with this in mind.
